High School Principal
My name is Ethan Larsen and I am the High School Principal here at Boone Central Schools. This will be my 14th year in education, and I am excited to get the 2024-2025 school year started! My wife, Laura, is also an educator and serves our district as a Preschool Teacher. Together, we have two kids, Trevor (9) and Teagan (6) who are also very excited for this upcoming school year. When I have some free time, I love to spend it in the outdoors, traveling, cheering on the Huskers, Chiefs, and Royals, and spending time with family and friends.
Boone Central Schools is a fantastic place for students to grow, learn, and become prepared for life after high school. We provide a safe, positive learning environment where we work to help all kids find successes! I look forward to continuing to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and members of our community. As a school we will continue to live out The Cardinal Way by always working to foster opportunities to Build Character, Create Opportunities for our students and school, and always work to Strive For Success!

Welcome to Boone Central High School! Our school is home to just over 200 students in the supportive community of Albion, Nebraska, who have the opportunity to further their education taking academically challenging courses in a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Students at Boone Central High School have the advantage of learning from high quality instructors in both required core and elective courses. Among the traditional course offerings, we also provide students the opportunity to take Dual Credit courses counting both for high school and college credit giving them a jump start on their post-secondary plans. Boone Central students also have the advantage of being able to take independent college courses from area institutions to strengthen their academic resume while still in high school. Our Rule 47 Accredited Career Academy is strong offering pathways for students to be completers in the areas of Agriculture, Skilled and Technical Sciences, Business and Technology, Health and Human Services, as well as Hospitality. Students get to participate in valuable learning experiences outside of the classroom through field trips, internships, business partnerships, and other activities. Our extracurricular offerings are also expansive giving students the opportunity to compete in interscholastic competition, participate in CTSO’s, as well as be a part of school groups that allow them to interact with others with similar interests.
